How Annie Handles Appointment Rescheduling

A quick overview of how Annie manages appointment changes when patients need to reschedule.

  • When rescheduling an appointment, Annie will cancel the original booking and create a new one at the updated time selected by the patient. She will only schedule appointments in operatories she has access to, based on the scheduling parameters your onboarder reviewed with you.

  • Annie can also follow your office’s rescheduling policies, such as requiring 24 hours’ notice before changes can be made. If a patient attempts to reschedule within that window, Annie can route the request to your team instead. Please note: these settings are not enabled by default, but our Support team can assist you in setting them up.

  • With assistance of the patient, Annie will identify what type of appointment is being rescheduled and what operatory the original appointment was in. She will then reschedule the appointment in the same or a similar column.

  • If there is a specific operatory you don't want Annie to touch, please let our Support team know, and we can restrict access accordingly.
